Four people who shamed the country for allegedly stealing the jewelry of Turkish foreign minister’s wife have been arrested.
MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal expressed elation over the swift recovery of a pink jewelry box reportedly owned by Mdme Hulya Cavusoglu, wife of the Foreign Minister of Turkey.
Based on information gathered, Mdme Cavusoglu departed for Turkey on board Turkish Airline flight TK85 last August 4, 2017. Around 4pm of August 7, 2017, Messrs. Erhan Balaban and Ufuk Apaydin, Turkish Airline Country Manager and Station Manager, respectively, went to the Office of the MIAA Assistant General Manager for Security to report the matter.
A team of operatives from the MIAA Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) led by APO2 Erick Mejia was immediately dispatched to work on the case. Inquiries were conducted.
