CBCP disrespects soldiers who fought and died in Marawi ~Share

Before anything else, my opinion of CBCP, based on their statement about the victory of Duterte's war on terror in Marawi is that CBCP is appalling.

They have no sense of nationalism and are insensitive to the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives to protect the republic and to the civilians who became victims of the atrocities of the terrorist.

Yes, it is true that CBCP did not explicitly say "Do not celebrate Marawi' but CBCP implies it.

Let's face it, more important than saying things explicitly is what is implied and also the motive behind what are said.

So I ask, what was the motive behind the CBCP statement quoted from gmanetwork.com's story titled Deaths of Omar Maute, Hapilon don’t mean end of terror in PHL —CBCP exec:

"An official of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines on Monday warned the killing of Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon and Maute leader Omar Maute in conflict-stricken Marawi City will not mean the end of the terrorism in the Mindanao region".
CBCP's propaganda motive.

The motive of their statement is simple. CBCP does not want to give Duterte credit for the Marawi victory and the meme shown below tells it all.

The victory in Marawi tells the whole country that Duterte is an excellent leader and by comparison, former President Noynoy Aquino was completely inutile.

Behind CBCP's self-righteous warning was an anti-Duterte propaganda message which feels like it was written by Trillanes himself.

Dampening the country's good feeling.

For a very long time, the terrorist felt like they were invincible.

Finally, a major battle against them was won and the whole country is elated. But instead of rejoicing with the country, the anti-Duterte group CBCP tries to dampen the elation of the nation.

In the aftermath of the death of Isnilon Hapilon and Maute leader Omar Maute, the CBCP tries to steal the thunder from Duterte and make the Marawi victory trivial.

In a statement released by church-run Radio Veritas, CBCP-Permanent Committee on Public Affairs executive secretary Fr. Jerome Secillano said:
“Rejoicing in the death of these terrorists will merely be temporary. Their death doesn’t mean the end of terror groups in the country,”
WTF, CBCP is stating the obvious!

By stating the obvious, CBCP must think we are dumb. Of course we know that the deaths of Hapilon and Omar Maute will not the end terror groups in the country.

We also know that Malaysian teacher Mahmud Ahmad may become the new 'emir' and replace Hapilon.

The significance of victory in Marawi is that we have proven to ourselves, as a nation, that we can win against terrorism. The Marawi victory is a big boost to our morale but CBCP wants to demoralize us instead.

Victory celebrations whether big or small, quiet or grand is part of morale-boosting and a morale boost is what the nation needs. All victories must be celebrated.

CBCP is afraid Duterte will become more popular.

CBCP is so afraid that President Rodrigo Duterte will become more popular and that is why they want to stop us from celebrating the defeat of evil.

The victory over evil in Marawi costs many lives of soldiers and civilians, yet the CBCP does not want to honor their deaths with a victory celebration. Without a celebration of victory, the lives of the fallen soldiers who sacrificed it to defend our land and freedom are disrespected.

Not to celebrate the victory of good is to celebrate the victory of evil.

Satan symbolizes the ultimate form of evil and ISIS/Maute personifies evil on earth, yet CBCP does not want us to feel victorious that the battle against evil in Marawi was won.

During World War II, the world celebrated when Nazi's were defeated. There was absolutely nothing wrong in celebrating the world's victory against evil.

The Nazi's and the ISIS were both very brutal and inhumane, so why was it ok to celebrate the fall of the Nazi's but not celebrate the victory in Marawi?

Once again, I see the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church, while they pretend to take a self-righteous stand, the ulterior motive of there pronouncements is very clear and it almost sounds like it was Senator Antonio Trillanes IV who wrote it.
