CBCP's Villegas trying to be like Cardinal Sin to overthrow Duterte? ~Share

Thousands of Filipinos marched towards the People Power Monument on November 5, 2017, Sunday afternoon as part of the call of the Catholic Church for people to “start healing” the nation in the midst of the allegations of killings (without proof) which the church linked to the Duterte administration’s war-on-drugs.

The figurehead of the movement is Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas and from the way it looks to me, the Yellows are trying to raise Villegas' to the stature of Cardinal Sin. If you recall, it was Cardinal Sin who called upon the people to overthrow then President Ferdinand Marcos.

During the mass, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas said that over 10,000 death were attributed to the war-on-drugs.

From the way it looks, Villegas seem to want to blame all deaths on the drug war and I wonder what proof he has that all the killings were related to war-on-drugs.

The organizers branded gathering as a movement to "start the healing" but as far as I am concerned this is a movement intended to destabilize the Duterte administration.

Why is the “start healing" movement a ploy to destabilize the Duterte administration?

Although the organizers and the supporters of the “start healing” movement say there is no attempt to destabilize the Duterte administration, it is obvious that this is a lie.

I say that because of the question "what happens next?"

Yes, "what happens next".

Like it or not, the gathering at EDSA which managed to get 20,000 people will embolden the Yellows and this gathering will lead to more gatherings.

Every time I go to church, priests lie by insinuating that all 10,000 deaths were all attributed to the war on drugs.

The “start healing" movement is the CBCP's or Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ so-called to stop the spate of killings in the country.

And this I wonder, why wasn't this movement around to cry for the victims of the drug pushers and addicts who were murdered, raped, and mutilated.
