The Problem Of Having The "Pelepenos Are Da Most Powerful Race In Da World" Mindset
I don't deny that there are Filipinos who achieve or that Filipinos can be better in some areas than other races. I could talk about how it works. It's something to be happy about if one's fellow Filipino succeeds abroad. I'm certainly happy for Beverly Caimen for succeeding in Japan. The problem comes is shouting, "PENOYS ARE DA GREATEST!" whenever a Filipino makes it big abroad. It's also hypocritical considering that the same people shouting it were also derailed their fellow Filipino before he or she hit the jackpot.
The "PENOY MASTER RACE" thinks that that Filipinos are the strongest and most powerful race in the world. Note that I'm purposely mispelling Pinoy in some of my statements here as some Filipinos would purposely do it to make fun of stupidity. Are Filipinos necessarily the most powerful race in the world because of Filipinos hitting big here and there? No. They're not the only race hitting big here and there. In fact, every race has their own talent to offer in any field. Being Filipino isn't necessarily a contributor to that.
The hypocrisy can also kick in whenever they claim the other half. What do I mean by it? If they have the tendency to think about Pinoy racial purity then shouldn't being mixed be an abomination? For instance, why try to claim Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's victory when she's only half-Filipino? Weren't such people obsessed with the "Pelepeno racial purity" then they flip their stance when somebody half-Filipino gets big recognition? It's really hypocritical and self-contradictory.
Also, for many of them how sure are they that they are "Pure-pinos" because I doubt it there's still such a thing if you live in the civilized world. A basic study of Filipino history and anthropology would actually show what's wrong with that mindset. The Spanish colonization, Imperial Japan takeover, American Commonwealth period and the many settlers that came before the colonization can already disprove the idea of having Pure-pinos.
What should be worse is that the same people who have the Penoy Superior Race mindset also falsely accuse others of being racist. What's their ground of accusing someone of being racist or hating Filipinos so much? It's usually based on arguments like whenever a foreigner (or a Filipino who's brown skinned like they are like Filipino-Chinese or Filipino-Spanish) gives constructive criticism they cry out "Racist!" or "Why do you hate Filipinos so much?" Thinkers doers. They're racist to other people (and even to their fellow Filipinos) and they have the nerve to cry racism whenever it's convenient for them.
It's time to stop looking at Filipino or Pinoy as a race. Are you pledging allegiance to the Philippines? Then you're a Filipino. It doesn't matter what your ancestry is but your allegiance and love for the Philippines is what makes you a Filipino an
