Friend Praised for Paying Php500 Debt Even After 5 Years Passed
It is really a sad reality that there are so many relationships, whether friendships or families, that get ruined because of money matters. One of the big reasons for such falling outs is debt.
What’s sad is that the person who lent the money sometimes end up becoming the ‘bad guy’ whenever he/she tries to make the debtor pay up. There are even many who let friendships break over just a small amount of money.
Some think that they don’t have to pay a friend who is better off than them because the other person “doesn’t really need the money”, while others feel ashamed about the debt and try to forget about it.
But it is admirable that there are people who still find ways to pay off a debt, no matter how small or big it might be, even if many years had passed since they borrowed the money! More so if this is from a friend who helped them during the most difficult times in their life.
