Kid’s Old Bike with No Brakes Accidentally Dents Car, But Owner Surprises Him with New Bike
A kid was left in tears after getting a beautiful surprise from an old man whose car he managed to dent with his old bike with no brakes. The kind old man earned praise from the community, with people wishing that everyone would be as compassionate and thoughtful as he is.
According to Redditor @schefar, this beautiful story happened in Turkey. Apparently, the young boy’s old bike does not have brakes.
While this could be dangerous, particularly if he goes on a busy street, his parents could not afford to buy brakes on the bike. Perhaps everyone is really just banking on him having lots of luck or that he would be very extra careful.
But with the old bike having no brakes, it really was just a short time before the boy hit a car and caused a dent on the vehicle. Uh oh.
As many people would have expected, the old man could have been angry that the kid dented his vehicle. After all, getting a car fixed, even just a few scratches here and there, could be really expensive! Imagine the bill for fixing the dent.
But after learning that the young boy had hit his vehicle and caused the dent because his bike is old and didn’t have brakes, the old man knew exactly what to do. He did not ask the boy to pay for damages; nor did he sue the young boy’s parents.
Instead, the old man called the boy again to personally surprise him with a new bike! The old man knew the family could not afford to pay for the damages on his car because they can’t even afford to buy brakes for the bike.
He also knew that the kid would probably hit another car if those brakes don’t get fixed. But instead of getting the old bike fixed, the old man gifted the boy with a brand-new bike! It is a good thing he hit that car instead of some other person who could have sued his parents over the incident.
