Jhay Suarez Tuyor has been a waiter since 2012. He experienced his fair share of bad experiences with customers, but he also had a lot of moments when people looked down on him for being “just a waiter”.

Waiter ka lang pala, oh mag praktis kana mag bugaw ng langaw dito sa hapag kainan,” some would tell him after learning what his job is.
Most of the time, he simply ignores these tactless people. He knows that there really is nothing he can say to change their minds and though it hurts, their words do not change the fact that he is, indeed, a waiter. But even if he’s “just a waiter”, Jhay was able to build his dream house from the money he earned bussing tables.
In his post on Facebook, Jhay surprised many netizens as he shared photos of the house that he was able to build. Indeed, he is “just a waiter” to many people’s eyes yet this young man achieved something that many are unable to do with their “better, higher paying jobs”.
His story is proof enough that we should never look down on others and judge them because we don’t really know what’s actually happening in their lives. So many people might be laughing at Jhay for being “just a waiter” but he has the last laugh because he lives in his dream house.
