Beautiful Bedroom-Office Makeover for Just Php20,000
With so many people working at home these days due to the COVID-19 crisis and also because a lot have become freelance workers, too, many homes have also converted into makeshift offices. But you can’t always work in the dining room or living area because other members of the family might be puttering around and could disturb your work.
That’s why many freelance and work-from-home workers opt to put their office inside the bedroom.
John Austin Perez lives in a tiny bedroom that used to be ‘makalat’ and ‘crowded’, in his own words. Built-in shelves are used for the home office part while a bed occupies most of the space inside. Space is very limited so that when he has friends around, they have to sit on the floor.
His stuff was scattered on boxes and makeshift shelves inside the room.
Recently, he decided to do a bedroom-office makeover to upgrade the space. Knowing that space is precious, he ordered a loft bed with stairs that have built-in drawers. He spent Php13,500 on the loft bed and Php5,000 on the painting job.
Perez could not believe that with just a total of Php20,000, he was able to transform his bedroom to look this beautiful!
“I spent around P13,500 for the custom loft bed. This already includes the labor and the material. I spent around P5,000 for the repainting of the walls,” he explained.
According to the homeowner, he spent around P20,000 for the entire makeover!
“From a very crowded (at makalat) na room into INSTAGRAM WORTHY MINIMALIST room! Perfect to sa maliit na kwarto para mas maging spacious!” he posted on his Facebook account.
We’re really impressed!
The home office is placed beneath the bed, freeing up plenty of space inside the tiny bedroom. On the opposite wall, a flat-screen TV is mounted with a shelf that is simply perfect for the soundbar and other display items to make the room look more beautiful.
With a budget of just Php20,000, this makeover is truly awesome! What do you think?
