Leaf Artwork: CamSur artist pays tribute to compassionate women behind Community Pantries

Dominic Jay Gregorio, a leaf artist from Tigaon, Camarines Sur, paid a tribute to the women who led the delivery of aid to Filipinos who are mostly in need during this time of pandemic.

These leaf artworks that were created using jackfruit leaves featured Maginhawa Community Pantry organizer Ana Patricia Non and actress Angel Locsin.

Following the surge of COVID-19 cases here in the Philippines for the past month, recent lockdowns and stricter restrictions have once again inflicted a significant hardship to those who are mostly in need. As a response, Ana Patricia Non opened the first community pantry in Maginhawa, Quezon City.

This action inspired many individuals and local government units; hence, many community pantries were opened not only in Metro Manila but across the country.

Meanwhile, actress Angel Locsin is widely known to extend her hands to everyone who needs help. She has been one of the advocates during this pandemic who  have implement wide campaigns in giving help to those who are most affected.

As covered by ABS-CBN News, the Gregorio family was among the people who opened their own community pantry located in Barangay Talojongon, Tigaon.

Many netizens were amazed with Gregorio’s talent, and shared their appreciation not only on the talent of Dominic Jay Gregorio, but also to Ana Patricia Non and Angel Locsin for inspiring others to help in their communities.
