Hollywood actor Will Smith was impressed with the performance of the Human Beatbox twins from Cebu.
After being praised by Pinoys, Jake and Jomar Canencia even caught the attention of foreign celebrities. This time, no less than the big star Will Smith posted about the identical twins on his own Instagram page. With over 52 million followers on his Instagram, Will proudly shared the beatboxing skills of the viral twins performing to EDM artist Martin Garrix’s song Animals.
Will captioned the video with, “Before the internet people would just be good at something like this and nobody would know — Tragedy! Shoutout Jomar & Jake…this is spectacular!”
The video has more than 4 million views with over 1.5 million likes. The comment section was filled with positive messages, including from the singer himself, Martin Garrix.

Back in 2018, Jake and Jomar, who are from Carcar City in Cebu, first went viral when their teacher shared a video of their “super beatboxing skill.” Netizens were so impressed with their talents that they were visited by ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya. The twins were gifted with bags and school supplies.
According to the boys’ mother Yda Canencia, her sons have developed a fondness for doing beatbox since they were little kids. Since then, Jake and Jomar continued to hone their skills and practice more songs.
They now have a YouTube channel Agaw Jake&Joemar TV, where they upload their performances and even document their humble life in the province.
