When most 12-year-olds are still keeping up with their hobbies, Mike Wimmer from Salisbury, North Carolina is already on his way to fasttrack his education by graduating from high school and college almost at the same time. Impressively, he finished it both with a perfect grade point average.

Mike will be attending his graduation from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College on May 21 and will finish high school at Concord Academy on May 28, where he is a valedictorian.

Mike completed two years of high school and two years of his associate’s degree in one year. He said, “I went through all of the grades in school at a faster pace. I’m like a sponge, I take in knowledge very fast.”

Not surprisingly, Mike is also a member of MENSA, the largest high-IQ group in the world.

Aside from doing exceptionally well in all subjects, Mike is more interested in science and technology. When he was 18 months old, he got his first iPad and started figuring out how it worked. At five years old, he is already into computer programming and learned “a dozen languages.”

He is now the founder and CEO of his robotics startup called Reflect Social, which “combines popular social media platforms with Internet of Things (IoT) devices, providing a new dynamic social experience,” according to its website.

The goal of his startup is to come with smart home devices that will make people’s lives easier. “My entrepreneurial goal is to build technology that enables people to live better lives,” Mike disclosed.
