Gloc-9 marks 25 years in music industry with “Pilak” single
Gloc-9 is marking 25 years in the music industry with the release of his newest single, “Pilak”, the title track of his upcoming anniversary album.
“Pilak” the single, “encompasses a mixture of powerful storytelling about his unrivaled hustle and learnings for two and a half decades and enchanting hip-hop melodies”.
Universal Records released the single in March to honor Gloc-9’s impact on the Filipino music scene.
“The song is a very appreciative circumspect of his artistic journey which started with a dream and paved by sweat, blood, and tears – all of which led to his eventual day in front of the klieg lights, the accolades, and the many awards that followed. As they say, ‘success is in the journey’ and it truly is,” UR states.
Gloc-9 fans will be treated to the song’s seamless barrage of metaphors and verses that only this artist can deliver.
“Alam kong bawal tumigil at hindi dapat huminto, ‘Yang ang payo ko sayo para di ka mabigo. Salamat sa lahat ng nag bukas sakin ng pinto. Ok nako sa pilak kahit na di maka ginto,” goes the song’s lyrics.
“Pilak” musical arrangement, mixing and mastering is by Thyro Alfaro. The official music video helmed by director Edrex Clyde Sanchez has been trending on YouTube with nearly 250-thousand views as of this writing.
Gloc-9 recently collaborated with Yeng Constantino for the hope-filled song, Paliwanag.
