Couple’s CLOY and Royal Muslim Engagement Photos Wow Netizens
So many people are obsessed with “Crash Landing on You” (CLOY), one of the most popular Korean dramas in recent years. Even to this day, it is one of the most-watched K-dramas. It has also been a popular theme for many engagement photos, such as the one that went viral along with the royal Muslim engagement photos the couple also made.
When Sultan Kudarat Congresswoman Bai Rihan Mangudadatu Sakaluran married Police Lieutenant Al-Shadat Hassan Abdurajak last September 5, it was really a match made in heaven – or something straight out of a Korean drama. Well, that’s how it looked in the photos, anyway.
The congresswoman admitted that she wanted a traditional engagement and wedding to showcase the Tausug and Muslim cultures. So, they had the royal Muslim engagement photoshoot that quickly went viral.
A lot of netizens were quite impressed by the beauty of the Muslim culture in those pictures.
But because both of them are self-confessed K-drama fans, they also had a separate photoshoot with CLOY as the theme. The results are also quite impressive, with traveling across Mindanao to create photos that look as authentic as possible.
“Locations are Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, and General Santos City. That was a three-day photoshoot,” the congresswoman revealed.
Because Rihan is actually a real princess, being the granddaughter of Sultan Omar Pax Mangudadatu, and Jay is a police officer, the CLOY theme really worked perfectly for them.
“He’s from North Zamboanga [like how] Captain Ri [is] from North Korea. Ako naman from the south so from ‘Seoul-tan’ Kudarat,” she explained.
