Bride Asks Permission from Groom to Hug Ex-BF for One Last Time

Would you invite your ex to your wedding? Definitely not! That’s what most people would say because doing so could lead to trouble or a lot of drama during the event.

Yet one bride recently went viral for not just inviting her ex-boyfriend to her wedding but also for asking permission from her groom if she could hug the guy one last time. Whoa! Would you dare do that, too?

In a post on TikTok, user @mayangkumay shared a video that was taken at a wedding reception in Malaysia. In the video, a guy approached the couple to greet them, just like what the other wedding guests did.

But he’s extra special because he turned out to be the bride’s ex-boyfriend! Thus, the wedding guests were quite curious what he would do next, so some took a video of what might happen next.

As the ex-boyfriend extended his hand to the bride, to everyone’s amazement she immediately turned to her groom to ask permission, “Can I hug him one last time?” Uh-oh. What a way to put the groom on the spot! But the groom was secured enough to smile and grant the ex-lovers his permission to hug. Amazing.

After a short but meaningful hug, the ex-boyfriend bids goodbye to the bride and faced the groom who accepted his well wishes. The two guys shook hands and even hugged each other, too! Whew. Glad that the ex-boyfriend didn’t get punched in the face or something. LOL.

Netizens were amused over the video, with some saying that this bride certainly has some feelings left for that ex-boyfriend. But many also agreed that though the bride might still feel something for that guy, her groom is secured enough that she loves him more.
