Time For A Flashback On UN Drug Report
While the Philippine Daily Inquirer is also spreading fake news but you have to remember they withhold and report facts based on convenience. Here's one that slipped past my mind six years ago namelythe UN Drug Report. What date was it written that Philippines has highest rate of shabu use in Southeast Asia? Was it past June 30, 2016 or was it written on MARCH 27, 2012?
This reminds me of the GRPundit Post on horrible statistics under De Lima during the time she was the DOJ Secretary. One could go ahead and criticize Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. over the rather minor incident during the Corona Impeachment trial but his prison raid proved that Bilibid wasn't really cleaned up as claimed.
Before you start blaming China, it's time to do some reviews on facts. Why do you think Chinese drug lords end up staying in the Philippines? Why do you think they don't do their operations in China and they send willing Filipino dupes who want instant wealth to do their dirty work? It's because in China you get a huge guarantee to be in the death row. But in the Philippines, they can easily get easy access from respected government offices. Need to get shabu entered? Bribe the Bureau of Customs. Need to get protection? Bribe respected government offices to get that badly needed protection. Besides, getting rid of illegal Chinese is easier said than done no thanks to lousy people in power.
Not to mention, shouldn't it be contradictory to accuse President Duterte of being the "real head" of their imaginary drug matrix all the while they appeal to Agnes Callamard? Didn't their heroine Callamard just say that there's "no evidence" that shabu leads to violence or causes brain damage? If shabu doesn't cause harm at all then why try to implicate the crime on President Duterte and company? It's very self-contradictory isn't it?
